General#
What is Chatasist?#
Chatasist is a multi-tenant, omnichannel customer support platform. It combines a shared agent inbox, an AI support agent, a knowledge base, tickets, voice and video calls, a lightweight CRM, and messaging channels (website widget, WhatsApp, Telegram, Instagram, Facebook, and email-to-ticket) in one place.
Is there a free plan?#
Yes. The Free plan includes 2 seats, a website chat widget, 1 knowledge base, and a monthly allowance of AI resolutions. See Plans & pricing for the full breakdown.
How many workspaces can I create?#
As many as you like — workspaces are never limited, on any plan. Each workspace has its own data, team, channels, and plan.
Channels#
Which channels does Chatasist support?#
A website chat widget, WhatsApp (official Twilio API or a personal number by QR), Telegram, Facebook Messenger, Instagram Direct, and email-to-ticket. See Channels overview.
Can I use WhatsApp for support?#
Yes. Connect WhatsApp through the official Twilio API for production, or link a personal number by QR to get started quickly. See WhatsApp.
Do I need to write code to add the chat widget?#
No. The website widget installs with a single <script> tag. See
Add live chat to your website.
AI agent#
How does the AI agent answer questions?#
It uses retrieval-augmented generation: it searches your knowledge base and answers only from the most relevant content. If the answer isn't there, it won't invent one — it offers to open a support ticket instead.
Does the AI make up answers?#
No. It's grounded on your content with guardrails that keep it on-topic and resistant to prompt injection. When it doesn't know, it says so and offers to open a support ticket.
Pricing & limits#
How does pricing work?#
Plans are billed monthly or annually (annual gets 2 months free), with purchasing-power pricing by region. AI usage is bundled as a monthly AI-resolution allowance — there's no per-resolution overage charge. See Plans & pricing.
What happens when I reach a plan limit?#
Hard limits (seats, channels, knowledge bases) block the action until you upgrade. The AI-resolution allowance soft-stops the agent when used up, and older message history is hidden beyond your plan's retention window. See Plan limits & enforcement.
What exactly counts as an AI resolution?#
Only conversations the AI genuinely resolved on its own. The AI must have actually answered the customer — if it couldn't help and only offered a ticket (or the chat auto-closed after the AI never gave a real answer), it doesn't count. Conversations a teammate touched never count either. And if a customer comes back about the same issue within a few days, the reopened conversation still counts as a single resolution rather than two. See Plan limits & enforcement.
Security#
Does Chatasist support two-factor authentication?#
Yes — TOTP-based 2FA with recovery codes, plus session management, Google sign-in, and a security activity log. See Security & accounts.
Can I export my data?#
Yes. Each user can export their data, and customer records can be exported to CSV from the CRM.
