Dropbox

Sync Dropbox documents into a knowledge base so the AI agent answers from them.

Connect Dropbox and pick the documents the AI agent should read. Chatasist pulls each file's content into a knowledge base, embeds it for retrieval, and re-indexes it when it changes.

Dropbox sync is available on the Growth plan and above. On Free and Starter, the Integrations menu and this option are hidden.

Connect Dropbox#

  1. Go to Integrations and click Connect Dropbox on the Dropbox card.
  2. Sign in to Dropbox and approve access.
  3. You're returned to the Integrations page with Dropbox listed as Active.

Add files to a knowledge base#

  1. Go to Knowledge Base → Create knowledge base, name it, and pick Dropbox as the type.
  2. Choose the connection, search for files, tick them, and click Add selected files.

Text and markdown files are indexed. A sync runs about every 10 minutes and re-indexes anything that changed.

Disconnect#

From Integrations → Dropbox, click Disconnect. The agent stops syncing; already-indexed content keeps working until you remove the sources. Nothing in Dropbox is changed.
