WhatsApp messaging & broadcasts
Reach out to customers individually or in bulk over WhatsApp.
Beyond replying to inbound conversations, Chatasist can initiate WhatsApp messages from the CRM — to one customer or many.
Message a single customer#
From a customer's record, send a WhatsApp message directly. Chatasist resolves the customer's WhatsApp identity, reuses their open conversation (or opens one), and appends the outbound message.
Broadcast to many#
Send the same message to a list of customers at once. The broadcast takes:
| Parameter | Rules |
|---|---|
| Channel | A connected WhatsApp channel. |
| Customers | 1–500 recipients per broadcast. |
| Text | 1–4,096 characters. |
For each recipient, Chatasist resolves their WhatsApp identity and delivers the message, reusing or creating a conversation. Recipients with no resolvable WhatsApp identity are skipped. The broadcast reports how many messages were sent vs. skipped.
Broadcasts send synchronously to the list and there's no built-in pacing/throttle. Keep lists within the 500 cap, ensure recipients have a WhatsApp identity, and respect WhatsApp's own messaging policies to avoid deliverability issues.
