Action tools (Slack, Linear, Jira, Shopify, Stripe)
Let the AI agent take typed actions in your tools — post to Slack, open issues, look up orders and customers — during a chat.
Beyond Automations (your own webhooks), Chatasist ships first-class action tools for popular services. Once connected, the AI agent can use them mid-conversation when the situation calls for it.
Action tools are available on the Scale plan and above. On lower plans the Action tools section is hidden.
What's available#
| Tool | What the agent can do | Connect with |
|---|---|---|
| Slack | Post a message to a channel (e.g. notify a team of an escalation) | Sign-in |
| Microsoft Teams | Post a message to a channel | Incoming webhook URL |
| Linear | Create an issue | Sign-in |
| Jira | Create an issue in a project | API token |
| ClickUp | Create a task in a list | API token |
| Monday.com | Create an item on a board | API token |
| Shopify | Look up an order's payment & fulfillment status (read-only) | Admin API token |
| Stripe | Look up a customer and recent charges (read); optionally issue a refund | Secret key |
| Google Calendar | Check availability and book a meeting | Sign-in |
| Calendly | Share a scheduling link | Access token |
The agent only uses a tool when it's relevant, and never fabricates a result — if a call fails it tells the customer it couldn't complete the action.
Connect#
Go to Integrations → Action tools:
- Sign-in (Slack, Linear): click Connect, authorize, and you're done.
- API key (Jira, Shopify, Stripe): click Connect, paste the key/token (and for Jira your site + project, for Shopify your store domain), and save. Keys are stored encrypted.
After connecting, set any defaults the tool needs — e.g. the Slack channel to post to, the Linear team, or the Jira project and issue type.
Stripe refunds are opt-in#
Issuing a refund is irreversible, so the agent can only refund when you explicitly enable Allow refunds on the Stripe connection — and even then only on Scale and above. With it off, the agent can look up customers and charges but never refund.
Disconnect#
From Integrations → Action tools, click Disconnect on any provider. The agent immediately stops using that tool. Nothing in the connected service is changed — disconnecting only removes Chatasist's access.
Prefer your own webhook? Use Automations for any Zapier/Make/custom endpoint.
